Description |
Beads recovered from grave site. Unglazed clay beads of various shapes -- 6 leaf -shaped, 2 flower-shaped, 1 bird, 25 tubular beads (34) total. These items were strung on dental floss by Harlan Grover, the man who found them in his corn field. *Because the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) is designed to protect sensitive cultural material, the example used here is entirely fictitious. The artifact depicted and described is a new tourist item purchased in Mexico in 1986. |
